ethics and representatives in animation

representation and ethics
Rio 2's problems in representation
-the main characters in rio are voiced by white voice actors when the characters in fact are from brazil and are Brazilian birds.
-the main villain is voiced by a British voice actor. very stereotypical of the evil British feel throughout cinema
with in the film Rio 2 two non- main characters that just on the side light are voiced by black voice actors and are rather famous people, Jamie fox and Will.I.am so it shows even height stated people are placed as side characters within this animated world and concept.
PEPs
Charles de costa come up for a theory within animation voice acting and named it PEP.
PEPs stands for Problem contexts, Entertainment contexts and performance contexts.
this theory explains the issues for racial stereotypes and genotypes.
Charles de costa believed that we had this concept due to
the people with in categories of voice actors in animation have to associate with villainy, exoticism, jocularity and athleticism.
 turbo and the social mobility

In Turbo social mobility is only presented on the white characters. This suggests that non-whites should take care and facilitate for white characters with social mobility.
In the film Turbo social Mobility is only shown and represented on the white characters,
This could suggest within the film that non-whites should take care and facilitate for white characters with social mobility.
